Mick Fynn

Mick Fynn is a sixth-generation South African, a descendant of Henry Francis Fynn, confidante of Zulu chief, Chaka. He lived much of his childhood in the African bush.

His 30 years in corporate South Africa were spent with South African Breweries (18 years), the packaging group Kohler (10 years) and retail group, Woolworths.

He sat on the boards of the international companies Crown Cork, Kimberly Clark and Kohler Packaging, and was founder and chairman of Kohler Link, a black empowerment company.

He then founded his consulting company, InFynnITe Solutions, over a decade ago.

InFynnITe’s “roots before fruits” principle insists that clients are seeking a high energy, sustainable solution, be it leadership, teamwork, strategy, coaching, organisational dynamics or socio economic development.

His diverse clients have included mining (Anglo Platinum), Beverages (SAB Miller), agriculture (Rhodes Fruit Farms), Government (DG of Dept of fisheries exec team, Western Cape Mayor’s council), insurance (Hollard, RBS and Lombard international teams) Hotels (Protea and Boulevard group) and education (ISASA Conference, Strategic planning sessions for various schools)

He has an MBL in general management from the University of South Africa, holds a sales and marketing qualification from Columbia University in the USA and has BA degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is a founding trustee of St Augustine College and actively involved with other post school skill education through Servol in the Overstrand.

Mick has world-class expertise in general and change management, a holistic intellect and ability to co-ordinate complex entities.

He has lately been joined by his brother Hugh, who has a highly successful 40 years in education and is now focussing on mediation and tourism.
